Terms of Service

Welcome to Treoppdrag. These Terms govern your use of our website and platform, which connects individuals seeking tree work with local, verified tree service providers. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Our Role
We act solely as an intermediary between users who need tree work (Users) and verified tree service companies (Providers). Treoppdrag.no is not responsible to the authorities. We do not perform tree services, set prices, or participate in agreements between Users and Providers. All job details, negotiations, and payments are handled directly between the involved parties. Treoppdrag reserves the right to manually forward assignments that, for technical or other reasons, have not been captured by our automated system. This may mean that such assignments are shared with relevant providers without notifying the customer, as long as it occurs within the framework of our service. We also reserve the right not to forward an assignment if we determine that the assignment is not suitable for publication or distribution, whether due to content, quality, lack of credibility, or other assessments made by our team.
2. Access, Privacy and Publication
Treoppdrag itself decides which providers get access to which assignments. Access may be based on geographic coverage, capacity, area of expertise, quality history, or other relevant criteria. There is no guarantee that a specific assignment will be available to all providers in a given area. Neither the customer's nor the provider's personal information will be published or made available to the public through our platform. Information such as full name, address, and contact details is treated confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. If a customer chooses to submit a review of a provider, we reserve the right to publish the review publicly, in part. In such cases, we may use the customer's first name, associated location (e.g., city or municipality), and the content of the review, provided that the content does not contain personal data or sensitive information and that the customer is aware of this.
3. Provider Accounts
Providers are required to create an account, upload proof of insurance, and maintain up to date documents. Providers can set job preferences and are responsible for managing their availability. A monthly subscription fee of 699 NOK is required to remain listed and active on the platform.
4. User Responsibilities
Users must provide accurate descriptions of the work they need and communicate respectfully with Providers. We are not liable for the outcome of any jobs, agreements, or disputes between Users, Providers or third parties.
5. Payments
All pricing, payments, and terms are determined solely between Users and Providers. We do not process payments and are not responsible for payment disputes.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful activities. In the event of termination by the provider, Treoppdrag.no must receive written notice. The account will then be closed after any outstanding payments to Treoppdrag.no have been settled. The agreement between Treoppdrag.no and the provider shall terminate immediately upon receipt of the termination notice by Treoppdrag.no.
7. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
8. Limitations of Liability
Although we do not directly provide tree services or participate in agreements between Users and Suppliers, we take our role in connecting users with qualified tree care professionals very seriously. Every tree service company that applies to join our platform is thoroughly evaluated. We carefully review their application, assess their reputation, and ensure they are committed, professional, and reliable. As part of our approval process, each supplier is required to hold insurance coverage of up to NOK 10 million. This is a key part of our efforts to ensure that customers can feel safe and confident when using our platform.
9. User Relationships and Restrictions
We work hard behind the scenes to choose only the most serious and qualified tree service companies in each area. Despite these efforts, we cannot guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any services performed. All assignments are handled and executed exclusively between the User and the Provider, and we are not responsible for any losses, damages, or disputes that may arise. The Provider is also obligated to show insurance documentation if the customer requests it. However, otherwise, the Provider has no obligations to the Customer before an agreement is made.
10. Assignment and Personal Information
In order to be able to forward the assignment to relevant providers, it may be necessary to share certain personal information, such as name and contact information. You can later request that your name be removed from published requests, but other submitted information will generally be retained by the platform. We reserve the right to edit, filter, or reject requests containing offensive language, inappropriate content, or other inappropriate communication, so that such requests are not forwarded to the providers. Each user/customer is responsible for evaluating the suitability of the chosen provider. We recommend that you stay informed about our terms of service, as they may be updated from time to time.
11. Important Information for You as a Customer
As a customer of Treoppdrag.no, it is important to understand that all agreements regarding the execution of work or inspections are made directly between you and the service provider. The platform functions solely as an intermediary and has no role in the execution of the assignment. When you receive an offer through our platform, you are free to either accept or decline it. An accepted offer is considered binding and constitutes a direct agreement between you and the provider. To ensure relevant and accurate offers, you must describe your assignment clearly and honestly. It is not permitted to submit assignments on behalf of others without their consent, and essential information must not be withheld. Inspections are generally free of charge unless otherwise clearly stated in connection with your request.
